John Spencer / The Oregonian

May 3, 2012, 4:17 pm

The MLS season isn’t even a quarter of the way over, but the Portland Timbers are in danger of prematurely writing off the rest of the 2012 season. Portland Timbers manager John Spencer joins the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to talk about the men in green and gold. The Portland Timbers have dropped five of the last six matches and many fans are beginning to blame the Timbers’ coaching staff; listen to how Spencer responds to the fans' criticism.

Spencer discuses the Timbers unfortunate penchant for losing matches. He explains why he thinks the match against Real Salt Lake was a turning point. He talks about why the Timbers need to get their confidence back in order to win again. Spencer then discusses why they desperately need their injured players back.  He also comments on the frustration of the fans and what he plans to do about it.
