The University of Oregon is implementing a random drug testing policy for student athletes. Former college basketball star and NBA player Chris Herren joined John Canzano on the Bald Faced Truth to give his take on the subject.

Chris battled addiction to heroin which eventually ruined his pro basketball career. John and Chris talked about addiction and how college athletes fight with the pressure on campus.

"Once you get involved in opiates it takes a lot of time to find your way out." Chris commented in regards to addiction.

John and Chris also discussed drug testing on college athletes and how the University of Oregon is handling the pressure of being a high profile university and it's expectations of handling drug issues.

"A college place is a tough place to stay sober," Herren said when talking about college kids and the pressure of drugs is thrust upon them.

Herren talked with John about traveling and speaking to the public about his story of recovery. Listen to this exclusive interview found only on 750 The Game.
