Meyers Leonard Feeling the Summer Sun

Blazers rookie Meyers Leonard joined The Bald Faced Truth radio show with guest host Brian Wheeler Tuesday to talk about his summer league experience and expectations for the upcoming NBA season.

Though sick for part of the week, Leonard said much of his growth so far has come through his blossoming relationship with fellow rookie and summer league co-MVP Damian Lillard.

"I feel like we've established a good relationship, and I expect it to grow," Leonard said.

Portland's history with injury-prone big men has been well documented. An interesting portion of the interview is Leonard speaking to his own education on how to keep his body healthy and in shape.

"Your body's your temple, and you have to take care of it," he said.

The Blazers finished with a 4-1 record in the Las Vegas summer league. Listen to the full interview:
