Gleeson is 2-0-1 as a starter / Portland Timbers
The Portland Timbers have a key match this weekend at Jeld-Wen Field vs. Real Salt Lake. The Timbers are coming off a loss last Saturday at New England and go from facing one of the worst teams to playing one of the best. Last season, the Timbers went 1-0-1 against Real Salt Lake.
One player that isn’t expected to play is back up keeper Jake Gleeson, but don’t let that fool you. Gleeson just helped New Zealand qualify for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
Gleeson started 3 games for the Timbers last season and had a 2-0-1 record.
Gleeson was a guest on The Sports Insider with Brian Berger today and they discuss his love for reality tv, golf, and what he expects the Olympics will be like.
