The 2012 Summer Olympics are just around the corner in London and Team USA is getting ready to go for the gold.  US Women’s team head Coach Geno Auriemma is looking for the top spot.  The legendary coach of UCONN’s women’s powerhouse just got his 800th win this season.

Team USA will play a friendly warm up game against the Chinese National Team in Seattle on May 12th. The US Women’s team will be heavy favorites once again to bring home the gold in the London games.  The US has taken the gold in six of the last seven summer games and have only lost three games in Olympic play since 1976.

Coach Auriemma joined Brian this afternoon on the Sports Insider and broke down the team he gets to coach this summer.  Also, the guys discussed how Title IX has changed the sports landscape, and how the retirement of Pat Summit will change the face of women’s college basketball.
