I have thoroughly enjoyed hosting "The Sports Insider" on 750AM The Game for the past year or so. I looked forward to interacting with the audience and my guests each and every day. But with the new lineup change, I am going to be transitioning to a new role. Starting the week of September 10th, you'll be able to hear me every Tuesday at 3:45pm on Chad Doing's afternoon drive show and every Thursday at 1:05pm on The Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano. I'm looking forward to joining Chad and John each week to take a closer look at the business side of sports.

I will also be a guest host throughout the year, so you will hear me on The Game as a fill-in host.

My life outside of The Game will also be busy. I will continue to host my weekly radio show - Sports Business Radio.

I will continue to run the PR firm that I founded almost 15 years ago - BBPR Inc. My firm specializes in providing strategic and crisis communications counsel for corporations and individuals. In addition to my PR firm, I am a partner with a media/social media training firm - Everything is on the Record .

Finally, I am organizing a conference slated for 2013 in New York City that will bring together PR executives from pro and collegiate sports for idea sharing and networking. There's never been a conference that has brought together the pro sports leagues (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NASCAR, PGA, LPGA, etc) and collegiate sports (NCAA and COSIDA). I am very excited about this conference and the opportunity to bring together many of the bright minds I have had the good fortune of working with over the course of my career so far.

I started Sports Business Radio in 2004 and since that time, many of the high ranking executives in the world of sports have joined me on the radio - NBA Commissioner David Stern, NCAA President Mark Emmert, MLS Commissioner Don Garber, Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Portland Trail Blazers/Seattle Seahawks owner Paul Allen just to name a few. Many people don't realize that it was my PR consulting work that allowed me the opportunity to build these relationships that became the benefit of my radio show.

It has been my privilege to sit behind a microphone for three hours a day to talk to the city of Portland on 750AM The Game. I appreciate everyone who took time out of their day to listen. I also very much appreciated the kind notes I received from listeners.

I look forward to joining Chad and John for segments starting next week and to continuing to work with the staff at Alpha Broadcasting in Portland. In the meantime, I'll talk to you on Sports Business Radio and on Twitter.

With gratitude and best wishes,

Brian Berger
