The 2011 Season is turning into a forgettable one for Oregon State as they fall to 0-4 with a loss at Arizona State. The Sun Devils defense kept the Beavers in check as they forced four turnovers on the day. Arizona State grabbed the victory by a 35-20 final.

It was a good start to the game for the Beavers as they jumped out to a 13-0 lead early in the second quarter. Two Trevor Romaine field goals coupled with a Terron Ward ten yard scamper set up a great start on the road. That is when things went south. Arizona State scored three touchdowns before the half, including a 78 yard punt return and took the lead into the locker room at halftime.

The real issue at hand for Oregon State was their lack of a ground game. On the night they only managed 47 yards as a team. Sean Mannion racked up 341 yards on the night going 40-66, but the Sun Devils defense played tough down the stretch. Mannion threw four interceptions on the nights as he was pressured often into making bad throws.

Markus Wheaton was the leading receiver for Oregon State as he hauled in eleven catches for 116 yards. James Rodgers had 56 yards on five receptions with a touchdown in the third quarter.

Oregon State hosts Arizona next at home. They are now 0-2 in conference play, still looking for victory number one on the season.
