Head Coach of the Oregon State Beavers, Mike Riley joined Chad Doing on the Morning Sports Page to discuss the woes of the program and what it will take to right the ship.
Riley admitted that this has been one of the most frustrating and challenging seasons for him as a head coach because he feels that the team is capable, willing and ready to win. Through turnovers and a youthful team that is struggling to hold on to any sort of momentum or hope of turning around the season, Riley shares his insight into the positives of the team and why fans shouldn't give up on the Beavs.
Many fans get wrapped up in the emotion of the game and fail to realize the overall goals of a football team, which is to groom this young student athletes into fine young men, this according to head coach Mike Riley. While struggling to find their identity as a program, Chad talks with Riley about his life outside of the football and where he finds sanctity when he is not hard at work improving the football program.
While preparing for a contentious match-up against the Cougs in Seattle, hoping to rebound from a devastating loss to WSU last year at Reser Stadium, Riley hopes to take any sort of positivity to CenturyLink Field and sprint to the finish.
