California Clipper Lamond Murray

After starring at the University of California with point
guard, Jason Kidd, Lamond Murray was the seventh overall pick by the Los
Angeles Clippers in the 1994 NBA Draft.
He joined the Morning Sports Page on Thursday to let us in on his life
as a 12-year pro in the NBA.
Murray talked about the adjustment period it takes to
transition from the college game to the NBA game and he cues us in on the
reality that being a top tier pick isn’t always a good thing because it means
you’re probably going to a team in need of help.
Since retiring from the NBA in 2006, Murray has stayed to
his basketball roots by getting involved with the NCSA (National Collegiate
Scouting Association) Athletic recruiting where he works with high school students
to try and maximize their scholarship and life potential.
Give a listen as Murray talks about the program and breaks
down what’s gone on in the NBA playoffs so far.
