It seems the Blazers cannot go one year without someone suffering a season-ending injury. Sports kinesiologist Zig Ziegler joins John Canzano to give his take on what ails the Blazers roster and their medical staff.
From Greg Oden’s knees to LaMarcus Aldridge’s hip, many commentators
have speculated that the Blazers medical staff is at fault and Zig says they may be right.
After being brought in by the Blazers in 2008, Zig claims he warned the Blazers about deficiencies in the rehab of certain players. Former Assistant GM Tom Penn hired Zig to conduct a thorough review of the roster using his biomechanic assessment. He talks about his initial review of the Blazers and what he discovered about Greg Oden’s legs. He also talks about the hostile attitude of the training staff when he announced his results. Zig then comments on what went wrong with LaMarcus Aldridge's hip.
