Now that the Big East conference has lost multiple teams it appears major realignment is inevitable. Rumors have surfaced that the Big East, Mountain West and Conference USA may combine to make the first "super-conference" in college football. The heavily critiqued BCS system has made the importance of an automatic big so important that the likelihood of realignment becomes almost inevitable.
