Blazers Insider Jason Quick joined guest host Bernard Bokenyi of the Bald Faced Truth Wednesday to report the Blazers' coaching search is down to two final candidates.
The finalists include Blazers assistant Kaleb Canales and Mavericks assistant Terry Stotts. Both Steve Clifford and Elston Turner were eliminated from the coaching search.
"I think the candidates have done all they can do," Quick said. "I think it's just going to be Neil Olshey, Paul Allen, Bert Kolde going over and double checking, and kind of going over what they value."
Quick also gave his projected timeline for the conclusion of the search.
"I would imagine that by the end of the week we'll have some form of closure on this," Quick said. "I think it can happen that quickly."
Quick noted in the interview he sees Canales as the favorite for the position. Stotts served as the head coach for both the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks, while Canales went 8-15 as the interim coach of the Blazers after Nate McMillan was fired. Listen to the interview:
