P90X has become one of the most successful workout routines in the world and it has been improving peoples' lives for the better for years. Tony Horton, the founder, creator and mastermind behind the series joined Chad on Flight 750 to talk about his exercise philosophy and his guide to eating right.
Horton insists that one of the biggest problems that people face in their quests to tackle fitness is their frustration over not having the perfect body.
“I think far too many people are thinking about how they want to look in front of people in the future. If that’s your philosophy, whether it be a pill, a potion, a processed food or some sort of temporary workout program, that ends up being a very futile, very temporary, very short-sighted look at it…Focus on what you can deal with right now – eating well, exercising today and focusing on just that alone, and you know, you’ll feel great.”
Horton also talked about dieting and he maintains that the main reason most diets fail is simply because people give up on them.
“Every single diet program works…until you stop doing it…Until you start feeling deprived when you are in the middle of that diet program.
And finally, Horton gave us all some very helpful diet tips that can help us improve our health and get one step closer to the body we truly want.
“Eat like your great, great grandparents used to eat. Look down at your plate and see food that has just one ingredient…Stay away from boxes and bags of food that are filled with fats, sugars, salts and chemicals that are made in a factory. Food = your health. The fuel – the things that you put into your body have everything to do with your overall success.”
Take a listen to the interview and if you really want to look and feel better than you’ve ever felt, go out and try P90X. It really does work, and we strongly recommend that you give it a try.
