In recent years Spring football in Eugene and Corvallis has been heavily talked about since both football programs have found success. Jeffrey Martin of The Oregonian who covers the Ducks and Beavers quarterback Sean Mannion join the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to talk Spring ball. Martin gives a recap of Spring football down in Eugene while Mannion talks about his experience this Spring in Corvallis for the Beavers.

Beavers quarterback Sean Mannion talked with Canzano about his weapons on offense and getting those first snaps of the new year. Canzano asked Mannion if he could have just one wide receiver to throw to who would it be, Mannion's response was quick as he mentioned Markus Wheaton as his go-to guy. Canzano and Mannion talk about Twitter and the dangers of social media in the light of a negative tweet from a Nike executive regarding the injury to an NBA player. Mannion also commented on how the teams attitude was and how Coach Riley is rebounding from a sub-par 2011 season.
Oregon Ducks beat writer Jeffrey Martin of The Oregonian called the show to give the listeners a recap of the Ducks Spring game. Martin talked of a possible quarterback controversy brewing down in Eugene. Canzano recalled a story of Michael Bishop of Kansas State a few years back.
