During the Beijing Olympics, Wallace Spearmon earned a bronze medal for America in the 200 meter sprint. Or so he thought. Upon further review, it was revealed that he ran outside of his lane and was therefore disqualified from the race. Since being stripped of his medal, he has spent the last four years looking forward to redeeming himself in London. Sprinter Wallace Spearmon joins the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to talk about the 2012 Summer Olympics. With the Games less than a month away, Spearmon gives us some insight into how he’s feeling before the biggest race of his life.

John and Wallace talk about the unfortunate turn of events that cost him his bronze medal in 2008. Wallace discusses how it has affected him since then. He then looks forward to the 2012 Olympics and talks about which events he will participate in this summer. He explains why he chose to participate in 200 meter sprint. He reminisces about the impact his father had on his running career. Wallace also reveals what kind of relationship he has with the world’s fastest man Usain Bolt.
