The NBA Conference finals are underway and there have been some heated battles. The time has come to where every player has to leave everything out on the court to become champion.

Scot Pollard knows this first hand having been a NBA journey man for years and winning a championship with the Boston Celtics in the 2007-2008 season. Scot ventured onto the BFT with John Canzano on Friday to speak on the game of basketball and his life after. John and Scot talked about the center position in the NBA and how it is evolving. Scot talked in detail about today’s NBA center about how they are much more athletic than they were in his days. Pollard says he doesn’t see any old fashion centers in the league today.  He says Roy Hibbert of the Pacers is the perfect example of the type of back to the basket center that the league has ventured away from. John and Scot also talked about free agency and how a player chooses which team he wants to play for. Pollard gave us his NBA eastern Conference Finals pick and you can imagine who it was. Scot had many hair styles while paying in the NBA and believe it or not, Pollard says his hair styles were mainly for TV. Pollard says now that he is done with professional basketball, he is now looking into commentating. Pollard now bides his time during radio work for the Kansas Jayhawks men basketball team. Scot says one of his motivations for getting into commentary is the fact that majority of the commentators are not natural commentators and are in the position because of their physical basketball skills, not their knowledge of the game and the way they articulate.

Who was his childhood idol? What player does he say is the center of the Future?  What was Scot biggest adjustment in the NBA? Find out here in this ecstatic interview.
