The last couple of weeks have been rough on a lot of us with the tragedies that took place in Connecticut and here in Portland.  So we reached out to a close friend to help brighten our day with some laughter and some Team Friendship.  Lucky for us, Bernie "the Wolf" Wolfson was able to squeeze us into his busy schedule of draft scouting.

Last we checked with Bernie, he told us about an unfortunate event involving his mother, his dog Lulu and a nicotine patch.  Bernie insists that Lulu has regained her health, but it sounds like it was a pretty messy situation.

“Lulu was pretty jacked up for awhile.  Lulu had got to where she’s running around in circles…she ran around in circles for two straight hours and then stopped and then just threw up all over the carpet.”

We also talked with Bernie about the horribly inappropriate comments ESPN’s Rob Parker made last week regarding Robert Griffin III not being black enough.  Wolfson thought the comments were just as inappropriate as the rest of us.

“That’s team Devil.  That’s a real easy classification: #TeamFriendship, #TeamDevil.  You know, you pick one.  It’s just like you had to pick between the two guys on Twighlight.  It’s the same way for me, and I picked friendship.”

And finally, Bernie talked to us about a time when his love for sweets went wrong.

“One time I burned my lip real bad and all the kids said ‘Herpe boy, Herpe boy, Herpe the Wolf.” And I was like, “This is not herpe simplex 1, it’s just hot pie filling.”  And they’re like “Oh, well that makes sense too.”

If you were having a tough day or a tough week, take a listen to this interview and it will surely brighten up your day.  Oh, Bernie also mentioned on twitter that his new kitten Sparkles is stuck in the crawl space, so let’s make sure we send good thoughts their way and hope for the best with Sparkles.
