Oregon State head football coach Mike Riley joined The Bald Faced Truth guest host Jay Allen Tuesday to discuss the Beavers' fall camp and season ahead.

At Pac-12 media day the Beavers were picked to finish last in the North division, but Riley said he likes the way the team looks through the first few practices of fall camp.

"I think we're in real good shape," Riley said. "They've had a hunger and great intentions right since the end of last season ... I think they're working hard to win football games."

Riley also commented on the progression of sophomore quarterback Sean Mannion, saying the experience he gained last year should translate to better execution in the season ahead.

"The whole idea of growth has to do with a lot of not necessarily tangible things, but the result is tangible," Riley said. "Quicker decisions, better decisions means less sacks and less interceptions."

Oregon State meets Nicholls State at home on Sept. 1 to start the season. Listen to the interview:
