The Olympics are right around the corner and equestrian events could possibly tip the medal counts for some countries. U.S. Olympic Equestrian team rider Rich Fellers joined the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to talk about getting ready to compete in London for the 2012 Olympic Games.
Fellers has been riding since he was 10, and his step-mother competed in Arabian horse shows. He rides a 16 year old horse named Flexible, who has been with him for ten years since he bought him in Ireland. He says that a super horse is the most important part for a chance at winning a medal.
Fellers trains in Wilsonville, and will be headed for London soon. His horse will also be making the flight, which is a feat that Fellers says is not uncommon in his sport. Listen to the whole interview:
