The NBA Draft lottery is at the end of the month, but will the Blazers have a GM hired by then? Oregonian Blazers beat writer Jason Quick and Marc Spears, NBA writer for Yahoo sports, join the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to talk about the state of the Blazers.
With an interim general manager, coach, and roster, the Blazers have less than two months before they have to make their first selection in the 2012 NBA Draft.
Jason recently spoke with NBA Commissioner David Stern and he comes on the BFT to reveal what he learned from his interview. He talks about the rumors surrounding Paul Allen possibly selling the Blazers. He reports that Paul Allen told the commissioner he does not want referrals for possible buyers. He discusses why Commissioner Stern believes that Paul Allen is as motivated to win as he has ever seen him. Jason also provides an update on where the Blazers are in the team’s general manager search.
Marc analyzes how the Oklahoma City Thunder have performed so far in the NBA playoffs. He talks about which teams will make it to the Western Conference Finals. He then reveals how he feels about Metta World Peace and if he can control himself in the playoff series against the Thunder.
