Portland Thorns FC Score With Alex Morgan

PORTLAND, OR- World Cup hero and Olympics standout Alex Morgan has been added to the Portland Thorns FC roster for the new women’s soccer league that starts up in 2013.  The 23 year old forward was named the U.S. Soccer Female Athlete of the Year in 2012 and is only the second player in history to record at least 20 goals and 20 assists in a calendar year.

Joining Morgan on the Thorns will be former University of Portland standout Christine Sinclair.  Sinclair won two national title with UP in 2002 and 2005 and also lead the Canadian national team to a Bronze medal in the 2012 London Olympics.
