The Oregon Ducks are sitting at home waiting for a BCS Bowl invite while UCLA and Stanford get ready to face off in the
Pac-12 Championship game which sees the winner going to the Rose Bowl. Pac-12 analyst and former head coach Rick Neuheisel joined John Canzano on The Bald Faced Truth to preview the championship game.
The race for the Heisman Trophy is heating up and a dark-horse is USC WR Marqise Lee. Neuheisel talked about Lee's accomplishments on the field.
"I think it's the most intriguing Heisman vote in years. On the one hand you have Marqise Lee who has 112 catches and just for comparison sake the last three receivers that won the Heisman, Desmond Howard, Tim Brown and going all the way back to Johnny Rogers, Desmond Howard had 61 catches for just under a 1000 yards and Marqise Lee has 112 catches for 1690 yards."
UCLA had a successful season under first year head coach Jim Mora Jr. who happened to replace Rick Neuheisel. Rick talked about losing QB Brett Hundley last season due to injury.
"It haunts me, I wished I could tell you I was over it. I had full intentions of having him (Brett Hundley) compete for the starting job as a freshman he was an early enrollee and it shown in spring practice he was going to have a real chance to win the job."
John and Rick also talk about the upcoming Pac-12 Championship game and who has the upper hand in the rematch between UCLA and Stanford.
