After a season that started off so promising, The Portland

memory – One in which beloved coach Nate McMillan was fired and fan favorites
Gerald Wallace and Marcus Camby were shipped out to plan for the future. Blazers president Larry Miller joined the
Morning Sports Page on Friday to fill us in on the GM search, the coaching
search and the steps the Blazers have taken to ensure that next season does not
resemble this past one.
The Blazers have been looking for a replacement GM for over a year now. Guys like former New Orleans Hornets GM Jeff Bower, current Indiana Pacers GM David Morway and current Atlanta Hawks GM Rick Sund have all been rumored as possible replacements for the not-so-nearly departed Rich Cho. Miller fills us in on how that search is going and when he hopes to have a new GM in place.
One of the other topics that has been circulating around the Blazers universe is the possibility of Paul Allen possibly fielding offers to sell the team. Miller insinuates that it is all hearsay and that Allen is just as committed to the team now as he has ever been.
Miller also touches on what the Blazers plan to do with the current roster and it will probably excite fans to know that the Blazers organization is not overlooking J.J. Hickson and that it does have hopes that Hickson will be a part of the franchise moving forward.
