Kennedy Talks Hoops w/ The Sports Insider

Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld joined the Sports Insider today to talk NBA Trade Rumors and Draft Rumors. In addition they discussed the many Blazers rumors i the Draft, Free Agency, and trade rumors.

Brian and Alex started their conversation on the NBA playoffs and the ending of the Spurs-Thunder series. Alex talked about the Thunders fast paced game and high scoring offense, in how they can compete in the NBA Finals. They then moved into the Eastern Conference Finals and how the injury to the Celtics hasn’t fazed them.

Brian and Alex then went into length about the Miami Heat and them hanging on by a thread in the East Finals and if they should lose. Alex discussed about how them losing could cause Erik Spoelstra to be fired and how Spoelstra could come to Portland because he is from Portland. Alex also talked about other stories from the Heat which could involve not only the firing of Spoelstra but the reemergence of Pat Riley to coach the Heat again.
They discussed players that could be moved such as Rudy Gay from Memphis, because of Memphis’ cap room. In addition, Andre Iguodala could be on the move from Philadelphia and Pau Gasol who was almost moved last year before the trade was nixed.

Finally, Alex and Brian discussed the two Lottery Selections for the Blazers and what to do with them. Alex talked about how many teams are looking to shop their picks for teams or for a point guard. Alex also chatted about players that the Blazers could get for their selections such as Kyle Lowery, Rajon Rando, or  a sign and trade for Steve Nash. Alex also suggested that the Blazers are looking at Damien Lillard and Andre Drummond for their 6th pick.
