Between 1977 and 1987, Edwin Moses set an unbeatable record by winning 107 consecutive hurdling events. Olympic hurdler Edwin Moses joins the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to talk about his remarkable track career. As the premiere Olympic hurdler of his era, Edwin Moses won Olympic gold in the 400-meter hurdles in 1976 and 1984. If it were not for the U.S. Olympic boycott in 1980, he might have won a third gold medal in Moscow.

Edwin explains how he reacted to the 1980 U.S. Olympic boycott. He discusses when he began to hurdle and how quickly he realized he could be one of the best in the world. He explains how he developed his hurdling technique. Edwin also comments on why track and field is not as popular among today’s children.
