Ducks defense ready for Arkansas State

The Oregon Ducks open their season Saturday in Eugene against Arkansas State. Defensive coordinator Nick Aliotti joined the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to talk about the game.

Aliotti believes that this defensive line will be unstoppable, because they have players that are so dedicated to the program. They study the plays and the old games, show up to practice healthy and ready to go. He sees the older members as ideal leaders for the younger players and wants each player to be at the top of his game.

“The bottom line is we want to take care of business every day up until Saturday when we get to Saturday then it should be easier by the way we’ve trained and prepared and the standard of what it should look like, we have a vision of how that should be" Aliotti said.

With the Ducks win last year at the Rose Bowl the Ducks are going into next season with high hopes. Aliotti says that that day will stick with him for a while but the whole team must look forward and focus on performing even stronger in the 2012-2013 season.
