Cal’s Memorial Stadium has been a place of nightmares for Oregon in recent years.  This one looked no different in the first half, but once the second half hit, it was all Ducks as they beat the Bears 59-17.

Oregon struggled with the injury bug early on as Kenjon Barner, Marcus Mariota, Taylor Hart and Avery Patterson all went out at some point in the first half.  This after the Ducks were already thin on the D line with injuries to Dion Jordan, Isaac Remington and Ricky Heimuli.

Although Mariota did have to leave the game after an early injury, he ended with a huge night.  Mariota went 27-34 for 377 yards and a record-tying six TD passes.  And just to pad the stats, he had six rushes for 42 yards.

Josh Huff led the way for the receivers with 5 catches for 109 yards and three touchdowns.  But tight end Colt Lyerla also had a big night with four receptions for 64 yards and two TDs.

The defense also stepped up big in the second half as Boseko Lokombo and Brian Jackson each had an interception.  But more important, the defense held the Bears to just one early score in the second half.

Next weekend the Ducks return to the friendly confines of Autzen Stadium to take on Stanford team that is on a four-game winning streak and just beat Mike Riley and the Beavers.  Be sure to listen to the call right here on 750thegame.
