In his first season as a Seattle Seahawk, Doug Baldwin looked like a budding star catching 51 balls for 788 yards and four touchdowns.  He joined Chad on The Morning Sports Page Friday to talk about the upcoming NFL season.

Baldwin states that he really enjoyed his first season with the Hawks.  He said his first season was very fun and exciting and he thinks that next season will be even better.  He also insists that he likes the team that Pete Carroll and John Schneider are putting together and he thinks they have a great vision for the future.  And he said he's really excited for the Hawks' first round pick, Bruce Irvin, to join the team.

Speaking of Carroll, Baldwin asserts that he really likes playing for him.  He asserts that Carroll is one of the smartest and most encouraging coaches he’s ever seen – and his personality makes it both fun and enjoyable to play for him.

Baldwin maintains that even though he has adjusted to the NFL game and the NFL lifestyle, he insists that he is not comfortable.  Being comfortable implies that you are content and settled in.  Baldwin states that he has a lot of room for improvement and wants to progress every day.

Chad also checked to see if Baldwin would divulge any dirt on the Seahawks quarterback situation.  Although he did not name a definite starter, he suggested that because Tarvares Jackson was the starter last season, he probably begins the season as the starter.  However, Baldwin implies that with the hefty offer Seattle made to Matt Flynn, there is probably going to be a fierce competition come training camp.  Take a listen as Baldwin previews the competition and predicts next season’s divisional race.
