Derrick Pouliot prepares for the NHL

Last season’s Winterhawk team may have played together for the last time after losing in the WHL Finals. Despite coming up short to the Edmonton Oil Kings, the Hawks’ defense was stellar throughout Portland's playoff run and several NHL franchises took notice of young squad. Winterhawks defenseman Derrick Pouliot joins the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to discuss his prospects in the NHL Draft. At the pre-Draft combine, Pouliot interviewed with 23 teams and he left them all with a very good impression.

Derrick and John discuss where he is project to go in this year's NHL Draft. Derrick reveals how he is preparing for draft day. He explains why it is such a dream come true to get a chance to play in the NHL. He talks about why he has been criticized by scouts of lacking confidence on the ice. Derrick then recaps the WHL Finals and the Winterhawks loss to the Oil Kings.
