Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) was one the most famous, most successful professional wrestlers in the 90s and since his wrestling days he has shifted his focus to yoga because of the beating his body endure for so long. He joined Chad on Flight 750 Tuesday to talk about his life in the ring and to tell us about his unique yoga philosophy.
Page insists that no matter how real or unreal wrestling may seem to its viewers, it doesn’t change the fact that wrestling affects people’s bodies.“People can say what they want about wrestling. One thing’s for certain, you cannot fake gravity. And my body took a serious beating.”
DDP also talked about the role that diet plays in his workout regimen and he maintains that one of the most important things that anyone can do is watch what they eat and furthermore, know what they are eating.
“You couldn’t pay me to eat FAKE FAST FOOD. And that’s not my name. That’s a Harvard Law Professor who’s also a doctor who has done all the research on all the fast food out there and he labeled it Fake. Fast. Food.”
Page also talked about what it takes to make it in wrestling. And it should come as no surprise that he thinks that his success as well as most people’s success is directly related to their work ethic.
“I’ve always seen in my career that work ethic will beat talent every time that talent doesn’t work hard.”
Take a listen to the interview and be sure to check out DDP yoga. “It ain’t ya momma’s yoga.”
