Coach Riley Readying Team for Civil War

The "Civil War" is the biggest rivalry game for Pac-12 football teams Oregon and Oregon State. Nobody knows this rivalry game as much as Beavers head coach Mike Riley. Coach Riley joined Bald Faced Truth guest host Fletcher Johnson for a holiday segment.

The "Civil War" has always garnered a lot of attention locally and Coach Riley and Fletcher talked about the rivalry game getting national attention as both teams are bowl bound.

"The neatest thing that has happened is this game has taken on national ramifications you know Oregon played us a couple of years ago to get to their final job done before they played in the national championship game and then we played twice before that to go to the Rose Bowl so they've been big big games anyway."

The Oregon offense is high powered and lead by freshman QB Marcus Mariota. Coach Riley gave his thoughts on the young QB from Hawaii.

"He's really a good player, a great athlete a great passer. I don't know which I hate worse when he's throwing it or running it himself it's a tough deal."

Fletcher and Coach Riley also talk about Thanksgiving weekend and the preparation leading into the rivalry showdown with the Oregon Ducks.
