Chris Klein Dishes Some American Pie

Chris Klein is best known for his role as the lacrosse playing choir boy Oz from the American Pie series. He joined Chad on The Morning Sports Page Monday to talk about his American Pie days as well as current role on the
FX hit “Wilfred.”
Klein assured Chad that even though he has played the jock role multiple times on film, athleticism is something that left him long ago. He may have played multiple sports in high school, but now he’s just a man who wears make-up on screen.
Chad made sure to ask Klein about his life in the American Pie series and how that series has shaped his acting career. Klein insists that no matter how much someone attempts to stay grounded, it is impossible to maintain perspective on their life and their career when a series is that successful. He said he went from being relieved that he could pay rent for the summer to being offered starring roles in movies – He couldn’t help but drink the kool-aid.
Klein also talked about his current role in the FX hit Wilfred. Klein asserts that his role on the show is one of his favorite roles he’s ever played because he gets to sit back and watch comedy unfold for most of the day. It's pretty rare that someone can list "watching a chain smoking, beer drinking Australian dog chase after woman" in their job description. Take a listen as Klein talks about the show and be sure to watch the upcoming season, which premiers Thursday, June 28.
