Reality television has overtaken drama & sitcoms as the main style of programming that is seen on TV today.
TNT is creating great television that is critically acclaimed and entertaining that is not reality based. One particular show that is garnering attention is
"Southland" which can be seen Wednesday nights at 10/9.
Actor C. Thomas Howell joined BFT producer Chop to talk about the show and his acting career.
The drama "Southland" on TNT is entering its 5th season as one of the channels most successful programs. C. Thomas Howell spoke with Chop about being a part of the show.
"I feel so blessed to be a part of something so great, it's a great show and even if I wasn't on it I would be a fan of the show, it's so gritty and real. Great acting and good writing and I don't know if you've seen but if you haven't make sure and tune in because you'll love it."
Howell had a chance to work with great film directors early in his career while on the set of "E.T." directed by Steven Spielberg and "The Outsiders" directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
"We knew that we were good that we were committed that we were gonna be doing a lot of work but who really knew that it was going to turn into what it did," Howell said about The Outsiders.
Also during the interview Chop laid down the pressure as Howell was "sportschopped".
