With a chance to take a full one-game lead in the conference standings, the Ducks stumble at home against Cal, shooting only 28% in the 48-46 loss.

The Golden Bear-sized monkey remains firmly planted on Oregon's back, as the Ducks drop their 11th straight to Cal in heart-breaking fashion.

The Ducks struggled out of the gate to find baskets, missing their first seven shots, and didn't have too much luck after that, finishing the game 16-58 from the floor.

But Cal struggled to find baskets as well, shooting 30% in the first half, and Oregon actually held a 26-21 lead at the midway mark of the game.

However, in the second half, Cal began having more success offensively, increasing their shooting percentage to 41% by the end of the game. Justin Cobbs and Allen Crabbe lead the way offensively for the Golden Bears, scoring 14 and 12 points, respectively.

Trailing 46-43 with just over two minutes remaining in the game, Cal tied the game up on a Robert Thurman layup and foul.

Damyean Dotson and Jonathan Loyd would miss shots on ensuing Oregon possessions and Cal would retain the ball with 27 seconds left.

On their final possession, Cobbs would knock down the jumper from the left side with 1.7 seconds left to sink the Ducks.

The #23 Ducks fall to 21-6 on the season and are 10-4 in conference play, tied with Arizona atop the standings.

Arsalan Kazemi lead the way for Oregon, grabbing 18 rebounds to go with 11 points.

Carlos Emory was the only other Duck with double-digit points, scoring 13.

Oregon plays Stanford next Saturday at Matthew Knight Arena.
