Brian Davis: Voice of OKC Thunder

Brian talked with the voice of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Brian Davis. Brian Davis joined the show to talk about the Western Conference Champions Thunder, and potential match ups for them in the NBA Finals.

Brian Davis talked about the Thunder and their fan range throughout the Midwest. He talks about how the team makes not only Oklahoma but parts of Texas, Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado that root for the Thunder. In addition, he mentions how the Thunder is first real professional team for this region. He tells a great story about a fan that thanked him and the Thunder for making this region now a household name because of the Thunder’s emergence in the NBA.

The Sports Insider asks Brian Davis about how the Thunder are an entertaining team and how they could match up against the East in the Finals. Brian Davis talks about the defense that the Thunder plays which something that isn’t mentioned too much when talking about them. They also talk about the maturation of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, who have only been in the league for three years but have learned a lot.  

Brian Davis has worked for the Thunder for the last three years and has also been the voice for the Sonics and covered the Bulls in the early 1990’s.
