Bob Robinson calls out David Kahn!

Author and former Oregonian golf writer Bob Robinson joined the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano Friday to talk about his new book, “Golf in Oregon: Historic Tales from the Fairway”. Robinson also talked about working alongside Minnesota Timberwolves general manager David Kahn.
Robinson started writing for the Oregonian in 1961, and said he was inspired to write the book after he underwent back surgery and could no longer play the sport himself. The book is a compilation of his experiences with the many players and tournaments he covered over the years. Robinson shared some highlights from the book, including the story of the 1966 US Open where Billy Casper erased Arnold Palmer’s seven-stroke final round lead to win the tournament.
Robinson was also the beat writer for the Blazers, and he covered the team during their 1976-77 championship season. When asked about what the Blazers team was like back then, Robinson said “it was a different era.” Listen to the full interview:
