Blazers dethrone Dallas in OT!

The Blazers kicked of a two-game road trip tonight in Dallas, as they took on the defending champion Mavericks.
The first half saw the defending champs assert their dominance. Portland shot just 31 percent from the field, as Dallas used an early 10-0 run to jump out to a 27-17 lead at the end of one.
The second quarter saw the Blazers start to heat up from the field. The Blazers defense, however, was unable to stop the Mavs from doing the same. The Mavs shot 52 percent from the field, Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry combined for 22 first half points, and the Mavs took a 12-point lead into the half, 56-44. LaMarcus Aldridge was Portland's top scorer in the half with 13, and Raymond Felton added 10 Points.
The Blazers needed someone to step up big in the third quarter, and Raymond Felton heeded the call of his teammates.
Felton scored 16 points in the third quarter, and hit three three-pointers, as the Blazers rallied from 12 down to take the lead. The Blazers outscored Dallas 16-0 in the last 3:36 of the third quarter, and headed into the final period with a 74-66 lead.
Dallas showed why they are the defending champs, scoring 11 straight points and retaking the lead to open the fourth quarter. What followed was a back and forth battle that lasted the entire 4th quarter. Jason Terry missed a three-pointer at the buzzer, and the game headed to overtime.
Both teams battled back and forth in the overtime period, but LaMarcus Aldridge would have the final say in deciding the game.
Aldridge hits game winner at the buzzer!The Blazers beat the defending champion Dallas Mavericks 99-97. LaMarcus Aldridge put in 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Raymond Felton led all scorers with a season-high 30 points. Felton added six assists, and seven rebounds. The win gives Portland their first back-to-back wins since January.
