NFL legends are born playing in the biggest games with the most at stake. Green Bay Packers legendary QB Bart Starr achieved greatness before the Super Bowl and then solidified greatness becoming the MVP of the first two Super Bowls ever played. Starr joined the BFT to talk about his illustrious career and recall the Super Bowl memories.
The Super Bowl has grown not only in popularity but also pageantry and in pop culture as being one of the biggest sporting events in the world. Starr is asked about the rise in popularity from Super Bowl I to today.
"I'll tell you what it was, it was more media coverage and attention than we had ever seen in any championship game we had been in. So we had a gut feeling it was going to special."
Bart Starr continued his career with the Green Bay Packers as a head coach after his playing days ended. Starr was asked by John what he liked most about coaching.
"Learning how to work closely with the players and also the people within the organization because when you're with a total team you come to experience some things probably never knew where there."
Bart and John continue their conversation about college athletics and Vince Lombardi.
