Portland Timbers assistant coach Amos McGee joined Chad on The Morning Sports Page to talk about their upcoming game against the rival Seattle Sounders and the new addition of Danny Mwanga.

McGee began by talking about the recent loss to the LA Galaxy.  The match was a good battle by both sides but the Galaxy ended up pulling away with a 1-0 victory.

McGee made sure to acknowledge the great goal-keeping display by goalie Troy Perkins.  McGee said his effort in the Galaxy match was one of Perkins' best performances of the season.  He just happened to be imperfect for one play.  And when your team isn't executing on offense - that one imperfection could prove to be the deciding factor of the game.

One point losses have been a very common theme this year for the Timbers and McGee said it is something the team and the coaching staff have vowed to change.

Chad also made sure to ask about the signing of Portland native and OSU standout Danny Mwanga who will be playing in his first game for Timbers on Sunday. He asserts that Mwanga is learning the offense quickly and when he gets in front of the Timbers Army, he’ll show off his goal-scoring skill.

Take a listen as Amos and Chad preview the Timbers-Sounders game on Sunday at 2pm and be sure to listen to the game on www.750thegame.com.
