The San Antonio Spurs entered Monday's game against the Trail Blazers with a chance to lock up the number one seed in the Western Conference playoffs, and they clinched it with ease.

The Spurs bombarded Portland from start to finish en route to a 124-89 thrashing of the Blazers.

San Antonio eclipsed the 30-point mark in three quarters and shot 59% from the field and 55% from beyond the arc.

Danny Green canned two three-pointers as the Spurs opened the game on an 8-0 run, and Portland found themselves playing from behind from that point on.

A 2-15 shooting start for Portland also put the Blazers in a hole they couldn't dig themselves out of.

If it wasn't Danny Green for the Spurs, then it was Gary Neal, who knocked down three three-pointers. And if it wasn't Neal, then it was Tony Parker or Many Ginobili finishing in the paint. The Spurs finished with 52 total points in the paint.

Ex-Blazer Patty Mills also got into the mix in the 4th, hitting three three-pointers of his own.

Six total Spurs recorded double-digit points.

Meanwhile, the Blazers were lead by Wesley Matthews who had a game-high 24 points and six rebounds.  JJ Hickson recorded another double-double, grabbing 10 rebounds to go with 14 points. Raymond Felton, who made a surprising start, had 13 points and 7 assists.

Portland will play their final game of the season in Utah against the Jazz on Thursday.
