Matt Harpring/NBA

April 18, 2012, 4:39 pm

Former NBA player and current Utah Jazz broadcaster Matt Harpring joined the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to talk basketball. Matt and John talk about what the experience was like playing for former Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan. Harpring talks about being involved in the NBA lockout in his rookie year in 1999. Harpring talks about sharing the court with Utah Jazz legends Karl Malone and John Stockton. Harpring talks about how great of a passer Karl Malone was for a power forward. Canzano and Harpring have a spirited discussion on being a local broadcaster as opposed to being a national broadcaster. Matt and John talk about the future of the Jazz franchise both short term and long term. Harpring talks about the odds the Utah Jazz will make the postseason in this shortened 2011-2012 NBA season.

Who has the toughest schedule down the stretch in the Western Conference?  Who are some of the young players on the Jazz roster that will keep the Jazz successful in the near future? Does Harpring still get out on the court and mix it up? You’ll get the answers by listening to this compelling interview between John Canzano and Matt Harpring.
