A group of investors including Magic Johnson and former Washington Nationals GM Stan Kasten purchased the Los Angeles Dodgers for 2 billion dollars.  It is the largest purchase price of any American sports franchise.  Frank McCourt sold the team after going through a messy divorce, in which he has to pay his exwife in excess of 150 million dollars.

Breaking down the Thunder

The Portland Trail Blazers welcome in the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Rose Garden tonight.  OKC comes in as the best team in the NBA.  Over the last four games, the Thunder have averaged 122 points per game.  Portland is on a one game winning streak and has won two of the last three games at home.

We’ve all heard the term “Street Agent” and know what that is.  We know that college sports is a big big business and some programs and agents are controlling the players with benefits that the NCAA deems illegal.  The lines are blurry in some areas and crystal clear in others.

LA LIVE ! Blazers and Lakers matchup tonight

The Portland Trail Blazers are in Los Angeles for their game tonight against the Lakers.  The Blazers are coming off a win last night at the Rose Garden that gave interim Head Coach Kaleb Canales his first home win.  The Lakers come into the game winners of the last two games. The Los Angeles Lakers are 19-3 at home.
