The 2012 Summer Olympics are just around the corner in London and Team USA is getting ready to go for the gold.  US Women’s team head Coach Geno Auriemma is looking for the top spot.  The legendary coach of UCONN’s women’s powerhouse just got his 800th win this season.

The Thunder remain strong

The Oklahoma City Thunder are cruising through the first round of the 2012 NBA Playoffs.  They have a current 3-0 lead over the Dallas Mavericks.  Kevin Durant and company are simply out hustling and out manning the defending NBA champions. 

The Passing of #55: Junior Seau

Junion Seau was found dead this morning in his California home.  Police are saying it was likely suicide.  Seau played in 20 seasons, most of those with the San Diego Chargers.  The 12 time Pro-Bowler also played for the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots.

The NBA Playoffs are off and running and some story lines are starting to emerge.  Back home, the Blazers are done and the off season is upon us.  Portland still needs a head coach and a general manager.  Several key players are free agents or restricted free agents and the team will have to figure out what to do with them.
